What’s in Season? Every season, in collaboration with Terra Masia Ibiza, we will be producing a graphic to show the range of products growing in Ibiza and Formentera. You can download the calendar here.

Spring is a time of awakening. It is an optimal time to cleanse our system with vegetables such as artichokes and asparagus, as well as a variety of green leaves (kale, chard). Spring foods are packed with fibre and micronutrients. It is also the season for peas, snow peas and broad beans with which you can create an array of dishes from dips, to warm salads, to stir fries. From one month to the next we also have a range of fruits starting with the winter fruits like oranges and lemons that last until April to medlars, peaches and strawberries in May.

When you eat foods that are in season, they are not only more affordable, but they are also fresher and packed with the highest amount of flavour and nutritional value.

By purchasing local foods in season from local farms, your food ‘euro’ goes directly to farmers, you eliminate environmental damage caused by shipping foods thousands of miles and you’ll enjoy the health benefits of eating fresh, unprocessed fruits and vegetables. Plus, local, seasonal produce just tastes better.
